Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22nd, 1985 in New York City New York) has received acclaim for her acting abilities across genres ranging from historical dramas, thrillers and action films. Johansson has a father who is a filmmaker and architect. She was raised by New York City. Hunter was twins with the younger sibling. As a child she was able to begin acting. In fact, by 7 years old she was already auditioning for commercials in a variety of different ways. To improve her acting skills, she joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan as well as the Professional Children's School. At age eight she appeared alongside Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry, and at nine she made her film debut as Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was later seen on the screen in Just Cause (1995), her debut came with Manny & Lo a coming of age movie about two sisters running away. In The Horse Whisperer, Johansson played a teenage victim of a horrific accident. Her role in Ghost World brought her more notoriety as the infamous teenager Rebecca. She is one of its principal actors. In addition to appearing on the show, she's also an accomplished actress on stage. She has given stunning performances in plays like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry from a young age. While she was still a young child Smith began to take an interest in acting. Smith was offered her first gig as an actor when she was 6 years old, with the help of her parents. Smith was in a Dannon TV commercial. Similar to many actors starting out, she decided to perfect her skills in the field of theater. When she performed her stage debut in Wildflower she would also work in various projects throughout the USA. She was a graduate of the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
