Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last year in junior high school. She is the younger sister of Gregory and also has an older brother, named Evan. When she was nine till 16, she started working in the industry of entertainment via modeling. The beginning of her acting career was with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying Sanford Meisner's techniques alongside Ron Stetson for three years. The other actors who received such education include Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, and many others. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate out to Los Angeles. Her first role was in Johnny Mnemonic. She did all of the stunts in the movie, and it helped establish her as an athletic actress. The talent agent she worked with was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to secure a role in the show Friends.
